The sheer variety of wonder-filled environments and ecosystems makes Olympic unique amongst the National Parks.  Glacier clad mountains and meadows filled with wildflowers dominate the high country.  Peaceful lakes and waterfalls hide below in the woodlands.  The wild pacific coastline is dotted with driftwood and tidal pools teaming with life.  And the moss draped and carpeted trees of the temperate rainforest are magical.

The nine-day Olympic itinerary includes the best alpine, waterfall and rainforest hikes.  You’ll also spend days kayaking on a glacial lake, bike riding on a [paved, repurposed] railway and tide pooling on the Pacific beaches.

Travel tips include airport, lodging and camping information, as well as links to current conditions and travel alerts.  The “Short on Time?  Don’t Miss” section identifies four activities (can be combined over three days) that are highlights.  Trip extensions listed include several additional hiking options.

New:  Looking for a shorter introductory overview itinerary?  A new 3 day in-park itinerary is now also included in this Guide.
